Terms & Conditions

 

All Clients are expected to read through and understand these terms and conditions prior to any work commencing. If any questions arise, contact us via email hello@studiofliss.com.

Contract

The Client must sign a contract prior to any work commencing. Signing the contract confirms that the Client accepts these terms and conditions.

Payment

The Client agrees to pay a 50% non-refundable deposit prior to any work commencing. In case of change of mind once work has commenced, the Client agrees to forfeiting the 50% deposit plus any additional hours worked.

A final invoice will be sent at the completion of the project and full payment is required prior to handover of final artwork. Payments must be made within 14 days of the invoice date. Payments which remain outstanding after 14 days will incur a fee of 5% of the total invoice for each week it is outstanding.

Rush fees will be implemented for last-minute, weekend or short turnaround projects. These fees will be a percentage of the total project price and quoted upon briefing.

In the case of website designs, the Client is liable for all domain and hosting fees incurred by the website platform. These costs will be specified in the initial contract and must be paid in addition to the 50% deposit prior to commencement of work.

Prices outlined in the ‘Services and Pricing’ booklet and on Studio Fliss’ website are indicative only and subject to change. Prices will be confirmed during the quote/proposal stage.

All prices are in Australian dollars. International clients are subject to exchange rates at the time of purchase. 

Additional Work

Before any additional work is commenced, a 50% deposit will be required and an updated contract must be signed.

Additional work is billed at Studio Fliss’ hourly rate and will be agreed upon by the Client prior to commencement.

Approval of Final Artwork

Studio Fliss accepts no responsibility for any typographical errors, spelling mistakes or incorrect information on final artwork. The Client must proofread and approve all copy prior to handover of final files. Final approval of all artwork must be given in writing via email.

Copyright

In accordance with the Australian Copyright Act (1968), ‘licensing of copyright is subject to a mutual agreement made between client and designer’. Copyright will remain property of Studio Fliss until such time an agreement is in place. 

Studio Fliss retains full ownership of design concepts and materials it produces. Only finished art files suitable for reproduction will be supplied to The Client. Raw/working/source files remain the property of Studio Fliss unless otherwise negotiated.  ‘Finished artwork’ is as defined in the proposal/quotation and is dependent on the scope of work. Raw/working/source files are defined as the files used to create the finished artwork and/or directly editable files unless otherwise specified.

Once a concept is approved, finished artwork is delivered to a Client and full payment is received, the agreed ownership rights to the finished artwork transfer to the Client. Unused concepts remain the property of Studio Fliss including design proposals and concepts submitted but not approved for the work outlined. 

Until final payment Studio Fliss retains ownership of all artwork and website architecture.

Project Credit

The Client agrees to let Studio Fliss place a link to their own website on the Client’s website. This will be in the form of a small line of text in the footer or towards the bottom of the Client’s website on every page. 

The Client agrees to let Studio Fliss place a credit note on brand guideline documents. This will be in the form of a logo or small line of text at the end of the document. 

The Client agrees to let Studio Fliss showcase all Client design projects on their own website for self promotional purposes.

Variations

We may revise these Terms and Conditions at any time by amending this page. The Client is expected to check this page regularly to take notice of any changes made, as they are binding on the Client. Some of the provisions contained in these Terms and Conditions may also be superseded by provisions or notices published elsewhere on our website. Any changes are effective immediately upon posting to our website.
